Women's Habitat
Charity Work in the Philippines
The inspiration to start the UpWell Foundation came from a personal trip Maya took to the Philippines in 2017. Moved by the locals she met there, who shared with her their philosophy of gratitude and generosity, despite struggling with their own economic strife and personal difficulties.
Since its foundation, Upwell has, through sponsorship and donations, provided food, household goods, and clothing for people in need in the Philippines.
Elisa House
Women's Shelter
Upwell Foundation supports Elisa House. Elisa House provides services to women who have experienced, or are dealing with, addiction issues, mental health issues, immigration issues, abuse and/or poverty. One of their mandates is to provide a living environment that is self-directed by the residents enabling them to become independent, self-reliant and to increase their self-esteem.
Upwell is committed to supporting all those in need, and especially women who may need a helping hand.
